A Tiny Peep That's Political

My business coach, may her tribe increase, recommends that you not put political stuff in your blog if you're out there trying to get people to hire you. And I've been trying—I've had my teeth clenched tight, attempting to be silent. Then I read this observation from Poltico's Ben Smith on the "Joe the plumber" issue:

The famously-disciplined Bush campaign operation would likely have found the perfect anonymous citizen to illustrate a policy proposal, rather than spontaneously wrap itself around an unknown entity with so many asterisks.

So allow me to say something nice about some Republicans—I agree with the above. The Bush team's general competence level does seem to far exceed that of its would-be successors. Fair enough? I mean, credit where due.
