Finally A Typical Me-Type Post

I haven't been myself lately, for which I blame Election Derangement Syndrome. But the other day I was listening to the radio and the lutenist Hopkinson Smith was on, and I thought to myself, you know, when you name a kid Hopkinson Smith the kid is pretty much doomed to luteny. It's like naming someone Jeeves—it pretty much seals your fate. Similarly, you do not expect people named Tex, Vinny, Brandene or Chiffon to play the lute.

But I must say that Hopkinson has stepped up and learned to play the lute very nicely. I imagine the market for lute players is pretty tight, and to make it you have to be pretty good. At any rate, here are some free downloads and you can judge for yourself.
