Oopsie! Alan Greenspan now sheepishly concedes that he "had put too much faith in the self-correcting power of free markets and had failed to anticipate the self-destructive power of wanton mortgage lending." It takes a big person to admit it! But what I don't get is that this is being treated as a news story for some reason.
