Energy Savings, At Your Fingertips

Is there such a thing as saving too much energy? Just a minute ago I had a fleeting impulse to put gloves on because my hands were painfully cold, and the thing is, I was in my living room. I think it's probably above freezing in the house but it's fairly chilly—about the temperature, I'd say, that would be perfect for long-term cheese storage or the like.
