Ethics and Morels

I've tried to be a good, loyal friend all my life. And tomorrow night comes the payoff—some friends found a bunch of morels in some undisclosed location and they've invited me over to have risotto ai funghi with them. This is a big deal to me. I've found money fairly often in my life, and stumbled into love on occasion. I've never found morels. But evidently I'm a person worthy of morel-sharing. I feel a certain humble awe and gratitude. If you don't find a heady delight in the musky flavor of wild mushrooms you may think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. Money and love are common things, compared to morels.
