The Music Monarch
Back during the holidays or for my birthday or something my sister gave me a couple of iTunes gift cards totaling $30 and I put them on the piano and then put music books on them without thinking about it and they were lost. Looked all over. Months went by.
Then yesterday I l moved the books and there they were. I gloated over them for a while and then went upstairs to the desktop and redeemed them. And I had this wonderful feeling of freedom—now I can choose any music I want, any music at all. By no means is all the music I'd want on iTunes, but there's enough, certainly. And it was like this vast domain was spread before me, and I was the lord and master of it all, I would beckon and a tune or album would come forward and bow humbly before me, ready to serve me at my will. Any tune I wanted!
Up to thirty bucks' worth, of course. But still.
